About Us
SkincareLabs exists because the skincare aisle has an inverse relationship between ingredient-list length and clarity about what a product is actually for. We'd rather sell you two things that do one thing each.
REPLACE THIS PARAGRAPH WITH YOUR REAL FOUNDING STORY. The strongest version names a specific frustration, a specific moment, and a real person. Who started this, when, and what problem they hit that the market wasn't solving. Two or three sentences — the reader is here to decide whether to trust you, not to read a memoir. Everything below this paragraph is brand philosophy and can stand as written.
What we can tell you without any placeholder is how we decide what to make. Every product has to pass three questions before it exists, and most ideas don't survive them.
Not "peptide complex." Not "marine botanical blend." An actual named molecule, on the front of the bottle, that you can go and read about independently of anything we've told you. Our first two products say COPPER PEPTIDES on the label because that's what's in them.
Proprietary blend names exist to prevent comparison. We'd rather you compared.
A long ingredient list is usually a marketing document, not a formula. Each additional ingredient is another thing that can irritate you, another thing that can destabilise the active, and another thing to justify a price.
So: no fragrance, no essential oils, no dyes, no denatured alcohol, no silicones. Fragrance is the single most common cause of contact irritation in cosmetics, and it exists entirely to make a product feel more expensive on application. Silicones make rough skin feel temporarily smooth without changing it, which is a curious thing to pay for in a product meant to change it.
If we can't explain why an ingredient is in the bottle in one sentence, it doesn't go in the bottle.
This is the one that costs us money, so it's worth being specific about.
We don't run before-and-afters. Not on the site, not in ads. Lighting, angle, expression and time of day account for more apparent change than most skincare does, and the format teaches people to expect transformations that topicals don't deliver.
We don't say "clinically proven" unless we're linking the clinical. The phrase has been used so loosely it's become decoration. If we ever run a study, you'll get the study.
We don't make drug claims. Cosmetics change how skin looks. That's genuinely valuable and it is not the same as healing, regenerating or reversing anything. Brands that blur that line are either uninformed about the regulations or counting on you being uninformed.
And we tell you the timeline honestly — including that firmness takes eight to twelve weeks, which is a much less exciting sentence than most of our competitors will write. It's also why the guarantee runs sixty days instead of fourteen. A two-week return window on a product that needs eight weeks isn't a guarantee; it's a maths trick.
What We Commit To
The active is on the front of the bottle in plain language, and the full INCI list is on every product page. No proprietary blend names designed to stop you comparing.
No fragrance, no essential oils, no dyes. If a product has a scent, it's the raw materials, and if it has a colour, it's the active.
We'll tell you what shows up in week two and what takes until week ten, even when the slower number is the less compelling one to put in an ad.
Use the whole thing. If it wasn't for you, email us for a full refund and keep the empty. A guarantee you have to leave unopened isn't one.
How It's Made
Manufacturing transparency is the section most brands skip. Fill this one in properly and it becomes a genuine differentiator.
REPLACE: name your contract manufacturer or describe them (state, certifications — cGMP, ISO 22716, FDA-registered facility). Only claim what you can evidence on paper.
REPLACE: stability testing, PET/challenge testing, batch QC, and your actual PAO/expiry policy. Say what's true; leave out what isn't yet.
REPLACE: where the GHK-Cu raw material comes from, and what the packaging is (glass, PCR content, recyclability). Don't claim recyclable unless it genuinely is in most US municipalities.
↑ Three placeholder blocks — replace with verifiable facts before launch. Unsubstantiated manufacturing claims are an FTC exposure, not just a copy problem.
Two products is not a limitation we're apologising for. Copper peptides are what we know best and what we think is most underused, so that's where we started — a serum to deliver GHK-Cu and a cream to keep it there. Between them they cover firmness, hydration, texture and tone, which is most of what people come to a peptide for.
When we add a third product it will be because it passes the same three questions, not because the collection page looked sparse.
If you want to know when that happens — or you just want the layering guide and 10% off your first order — the form below is the whole marketing operation.
