Ceramides restore the seal so water stops leaving, and once that is stable GHK-Cu has a calm surface to work on. If your skin is currently stinging, flaking or reactive, this is the step to run first - for a week or two on its own if you need to.

It shouldn't — there are no silicones or film-formers in it. If you get pilling, it's almost always a product further up the stack, or not waiting thirty seconds before the next layer.
Is it pregnancy-friendly?
